Hartley seeks to capture images that are visually exciting and that move him emotionally.  He uses subjects that show off the special attributes of his chosen medium.    

The images in this show at A.G.E.S. Gallery represent a personal quest to capture those qualities.
Hartley invites the viewer to pause and contemplate.
